Re-Place at the 12th International Conference on Population Geographies at the Queen’s University Belfast

Re-Place researchers from Latvia and Romania met and collaborated in Northern Ireland to represent the project within the rural migration/immobility trends.

Human geographers from Latvia (University of Latvia), Prof. Zaiga Krisjane, Assoc. Prof. Maris Berzins, Assoc. Prof. Elina Apsite Berina and PhD student Sindija Balode took an active and engaging role in thematic sessions on neighbourhood Diversity and Cohesion, Migration: Youth and Education, and Ethnic and social segregation.

Also, a researcher at the Research Institute for the Quality of Life (ICCV), Mădălina Manea, took an active role as a speaker in the thematic session on Health and Mortality.
