Workshop on visual methods at the Graduate Conference of the NCCR

On 11th July this year, Re-Place member Amandine Desille facilitated a workshop on visual methods at the Graduate Conference of the NCCR – on the move in Neuchatel. Together with geographer Suzy Blondin, they shared their experience working with multisensory methods through the medium of the camera.

During the workshop, they proposed a group video exercise on familiar and unfamiliar places. This activity resulted in a 5-minute clip that was screened the following day at the closing plenary session. The exercise was based on the one developed at the Re-Place annual meeting in Riga last April (LINK). It was an enriching experience and an incredible opportunity to explore new approaches to visual and multisensory research with such engaged and creative participants.

Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to the success of this workshop! And a special thanks to the organisers Liliana Azevedo and Jennifer Barella for their kind invitation.
